This series of photographs show the Pinacoteca, closed, with the lights out. The security lights bathe the rooms in an impersonal and muffled light, like that of a waiting room or hospital ward. The reassuring structural integrity of the architecture, combined with the polyptych form of the Synopticon series (meaning the place from which many can see the few, as opposed to "panoptic"), is enhanced by the dim light.
